Talking Ax Wound, WiHM, Social Media, Mental Health, and More with Hannah Neurotica Forman

Hannah Neurotica Forman, the founder of Ax Wound Film Festival, Women in Horror Month, and more, graciously offers her time to discuss a multitude of different topics. I do want to offer a disclaimer that Hannah and I talk about mental health struggles throughout this podcast. Also, I apologize for the wonky audio.

The conversation begins with Hannah discussing her experiences with social media, focusing on LiveJournal, and how things have changed over time. Hannah and I discuss different experiences people have while using social media, and how that varies by gender. We also discuss receiving unsolicited photos, and how those experiences also vary by gender.

Additionally, Hannah and I talk about Dead Man on Campus (1998), and its portrayal of suicide, college life, and the different metaphors the main characters represent.

Like many of my conversations with Hannah, this one was all over the place and so much fun - but, still extremely meaningful. Hannah's honesty and vulnerability, combined with her wit, make for a heartfelt and entertaining listening experience.
